Default Is Imageready able to create links "on an angle"?

i.e. - I want to place a photo on a webpage (PSing the whole page I'd guess is the best way to do this), at an angle. I've tried to take the pic to Imageready and create a hotspot, but it seems you can only do "straight" slices?

I really would prefer NOT having a big square or rectangle around the graphic, is there a way to do this, in Imageready?

Hi ricib...

You're correct about only being able to create straight lines for slices. But if you need a "hotspot" then you're working with an image map. And image map hotspots can be any size/shape you want.

I'm not on my own comp at this time, but i believe ImageReady has an "ImageMap" tool/function that you would use to define the area of your hotspot. It should allow you to create the hotspot using a specific tool, so it can be any shape you need it to be.

For the time being (until i'm back home on the 28th), i suggest you do a search in the IR/PS HELP! files for "Image Map". You should get some very specific info on them then.

Just a thought, you might be able to make a selection, and then use the Edit/skrew 'tool to adjust the selection to what you need, never tried it but it might work

Mark, Thanks!

Proving once again that asking here is easier than looking it up yourself in the help file. [bustagut]

Thanks also Rick, I haven't tried your way, but maybe I will to see if it works.

I was using the poly lasso, but not the imagemap poly lasso. That made all the difference. The imgae tool on the toolbox, 3rd down on the left. I have NO idea why I didn't try that one button first.
