Man, it's been fun so far.
Simple style and lay-out, but I still might tweak the colours a little bit in the background. Still need a few other small cosmetic tweaks.
I've been learning about PHP/XML to roll my own blog. This has been the most fun. Yippie! My own home rolled blogger! I can post entries, but I still have some work to do in the backend for archiving. Not to mention restructuring the XML to make it more conducive for said archiving. As frustrating as this can be, I love it. You didn't know that my first love is programmng, did you? Yes, I am a programmer at heart.
Aside from the backend stuff, almost everything is in place and seems to be working just fine. Play.Fiddle.Learn | |

Sroker,
I went and checked out your site on Apple's Safari browser (in case it makes a difference). Immediately I zeroed in on the Photoshop page and found your tips on brushes very interesting. Upon attempting to access the Wispies page I received this error.
Warning: Failed opening 'ps/wh/contenti.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/.sabriel/warjrnl/playfiddlelearn.com/pstmpl.php on line 65
Additionally, the Links and Contact navigation items didn't seem active. I was going to e-mail rather than post here...
Good start, there. Please do notify us of further progress.
Cheers!
Welles

Alright, I think I got the PS stuff working. I missed uploading a file.
Links and Contact will be coming soon. Right now just #.
Speaking of browsers, it does break in certain older browsers. I have yet to figure out how to get my CSS to degrade gracefully for these. Believe me, I've been banging my head for several weeks trying to figure this out.
My e-mail is available in my profile and on Tech-Slop (see other post). However, I do prefer posts (or PMs) as oppossed to e-mail because valid e-mail tends to slip between the cracks.
edit:
Crud! I just noticed some other bad link things going on. Don't be surprised if internal links and 3DS Max breaks. I should be able to get to it in a few hours.

Youre home page isn't happy right now. I'm getting this error in Opera and IE. Code: Warning: fopen("current.xml", "r") - No such file or directory in /home/playfiddlelearn.com/prax.php on line 86
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/playfiddlelearn.com/prax.php on line 216
I don't have any problems with the site otherwise though. Looking foward to seeing more.

Rantin, thanks for that. I probably missed something little in the code. I'll hunt it down and then take Whispies out (Whispies was never intented to be a part of PFL).
Austizmo, I created that error on purpose. I got something going on in the back and I haven't had the time to finish cobbling it back together just yet. Thanks for the look-out.
Actually, haven't had much time at all for this with the holidays and all. You know, out with the old and in with the new, not to mention family get-togethers and related. Both of our daughters got a boat load of toys and the living room is still a mess.
:sigh:
Back to the salt mine.

New Year's Eve = wedding anniversary
This year will be our seventh.
Our ceremony was medieval. Not as authentic as I would have liked, but it was fun.
Oh, we will party. Yes we will.
Woohoo!

That's gonna be one heck of a hang-over to start 2004 with.
Congratulations on your anniversary, and many more to come.
That goes for the wench as well.
