I understand that, wasn't trying to imply you were advocating copying. But when most people say to look at other people's work, they mean to get ideas for what to do. In this case, I'm suggesting that he look for ways to be different. Just adding my own "bent" to the mix, as it were.

I do think that this is a very rude comment.
You can NOT assume that people are lazy if they refuse to comment. That would also mean that we have a lot of lazy people on this board... I don't think so!

Mickey, you really need to learn to understand what the concept of free help is and that everyone decides on his own when he has the time or urge to reply.

Example: thay see my post view it and thay have something to say but thay feel like thay could better use there time on something els

im not saying people on this fourm are lazy like you thought i ment

but i do the same thing i view something and its not that im lazy i dont post its just i think i could be doing something better then posting on every single one so i look for one worth it

I hope you don't mind that I did this, but I thought maybe throwing up a graphic like the one I did below might give you some ideas what I was talking about in my other post above.



I know this is sort of corny, but this gives you an idea what I was saying .... take your name and the "eye" and try to make something original from the melding of the two.

P.S. - Mikey, your post was just fine. Don't worry about what just a couple people think. You wanted some feedback and when none came you felt bad about it. That happens to all of us. You don't need to explain yourself to no one about that - we are all human

my fonts not original? at all lol i thought if i couldnt read it, it had to be at least a little original lol

Fonts are a tough call, especially when you're using them for design work. That's the hardest part of my job - and the funnest, at least for me anyway - is trying to match up the right font with the design.

There are tons of fonts out there, but originality dictates at least attempting to change some aspect of the font I choose to make it different from anyone else.

One method I employ is taking a regular font and turning it into a Shape Layer and manipulating the shape into a whole new font style. You can see what I mean by looking at this post here:

im not really going into photo editing as a perfeshion just as a hoby and if someone needs something i can help out and what not

so i dont worry TO much about font being original
the stuff im making this banner for is for my personal site and the reason i like it is because its simple i dont really like crazy banners that are kinda confusing
