This has probably been asked before....

Say you cut out a photo, and you know how it doesnt always look good cuz u dont take a lot of time so u just quickly crop it out with lasoo or something. So now the edges are all jaggedy and sharp. Is there any way to select the whole thing and blur edges? so they would smooth out or something.....
tnx

Personally I would whip up a mask to do the work for you. Make a selection of your image and past it into the layermask. Then blur it with Gaussian blur slightly and finish it off with the blur tool.

There are a number of ways to do this, and mine is just one. The effect you're after is called a Vignette. So try running a search on google for that term. The search function here might yeirld some nice results too.

Call the headmaster!

Well, I didn't know that " to have some relevance to one's needs"...

I'm basically French/Flemish and English is not my first language. I learn it by annoying people on Photoshop boards like this one...

Oh my! I'm afraid English is my primary language but often I wax rhapsodic and let expressions just roll off my mind's tongue...(so to speak). }P If they make contextual sense...that's good enough for me!
