where can we find that? Or should we just try googling for it?
Well, it is a special edition magazine put out once a year featuring the best tutorials of the year. I'm not sure were you can find it now. I bought mine at MicroCenter about a year ago. Maybe if you contact Computer Arts to see if they have back copies for sale? Mine cost $14.95.
I just wanted to say, does anyone find it ironic that the piece on deviant was entitled calm? Doesn't come close to that for me (personally )..
And Chester - thanks for the link you posted, her work is absolutely amazing!! Truly beautiful, magical and inspiring. All my attempts (still) with the airbrush, just look like a mess, i have no control... but i will keep trying [righton]

Re: >>>IMPOSSIBLE!!!!<<<
I'm going to stay right the hell out of who's a jerk and who has the right to free speech. Enough's been posted on that already.
Personally, I was doubtful that some of those effects were photoshop only, too; until I looked very closely. Upon taking a closer look, though, you'll see certain shapes, some large, some small, repeated over and over again. Within those shapes, you'll again see repeats of smaller features.
It looks like, as mentioned before, he's used scripts or actions to produce repeated similar shapes that progressively change with each execution in order to create a shape that, because of repetition, appears fractal in nature, and is probably designed from the start to mimic the appearance of a 3-D render - it also looks like those shapes were then tweaked and copied.
Be very careful when using the word 'impossible' with photoshop; a lot of unexpected behavior emerges when you put features together in unusual ways. Especially when scripts and actions are concerned, you can get a lot of unusual effects unexpectedly.
