I've been learning PS for over 5 years, no classes, little to no 'spoon-feeding,' just reading and practicing from on-line tutorials and books, with occasional challenges from various forums. I'm good, I'm not perfect, I know a lot of tricks, I can acheive some damned interesting results...

I wouldn't be half as good as I am today if I had waited/expected the answers to be given to me instead of discovering the mysteries myself, which is why I will gladly provide sign posts and hints, but seldom pre-chew the answers for the true seekers.

I did this one with Arial Black. This font will normally be on your puter.

It's small, but hen you click to close the eye-icons, you can see the two layers, and how the structure is built up.

If you're stuck , try to say as precisely as possible where, and we'll pull you through. (if you stretch your arm, we'll pull you out of the quicksand, but we won't jump in ourselves. )
