First explain to me how you can have a title that reads "just got Photshop CS" and then you state that you don't know what it costs and if it's worth this and that. Doesn't make sense to me...

Chester what I think dzero2 was saying is that he not sure that the cost is justified - not that he dosn't know what it costs. If he has it then I would assume he knows what it costs.

Well, I'm now the proud owner of CS myself, and I love it.. Especially the new filter gallery.. Finally a real preview of the filter, with the posibility to layer different filters.. No more CTRL-Z, CTRL-ALT-F

First out, as said earlier, I just love the Filter Gallery feature. I'm gonna let that be a positive surprise for all you soon-to-be CS owners
And then there's the new Shadows & Highlights adjustment that makes those dark crappy digital photos shine once again, without too much fiddeling around with curves, levels and contrast.. God, that's a relief.

But! and I say But in the words best meaning. Something that I've been missing since v. 3.0 of photoshop, is the magic of defining ones' own keyboard shortcuts. Isn't it just the best to have Gaussian Blur on CTRL-G? Or maybe contract selection on CTRL-Alt-C?

Having said that, my version of CS hasn't been installed on my harddrive for as long as I might wish, so there will probably be alot more significant (or not so significant, but still welcome) features I'll stumble over. The ones I mentioned now are just three of alot on the What's new list in CS.

And on top of all. I got my cute little Wacom tablet in the mail today as well

Yeah, im somewhat interested in what CS can do too...please tell us the juicy details! From what i've heard though, its not going to be that enticing to seasoned users of photoshop because there are no substantial enhancements that can not be done with a 3rd party plugin or a short workaround. There are some highly advanced features(like larger canvas sizes) that are must haves for some, but for most people, Photoshop 6 is all you need. But I'd like someone to prove me wrong on this, all of the stuff i've seen on Adobe's website are just really not that convincing. And with all of the security they have this time around, which is not bad, you'd think they'd be protecting a hugely upgraded product, which does not seem the case. I think I may leapfrog the upgrades until I see one with more meat.
