You can drag and drop things from the internet into software like itunes and photoshop, no other clicks needed. And I could go on forever. It has many neat features, the small nitty gritty stuff that microsoft always forgets.
And one thing I just found out... I was going through my itunes, and then I remembered the new features they showed on the windows media player for vista. Well they already exist on itunes. All of them.
And the new cool feature for looking at files on vista? http://xs512.xs.to/xs512/07050/itunes.jpg
Already existed in itunes. And will be in the iphone.
I don't know. You really don't pay just for a better design. When you think about it, the vista is more focused on the superior design, with a lot of bright colors and a lot of light effects and shit. The mac is more simple looking with the same features on the OSX that came years before vista.
It just dissapoints me that it took microsoft 5 years to make a secure system and to copy features from other places.
I can't wait for firefox to come out with a new browser that owns the new IE as well. Give it a few months. | wow i just watched all the videos and vista is a osx wannabe...i mean come on they just came up with something exactly like spotlight on mac where you can search for applications and things..
macs they are a lot more user friendly. they might not be as good for games but you can do so many things on a mac and its so easy i love all the applications.
also wait till mac osx leopard comes out. its going to be amazing
check it out here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/ |

Damn that looks sweet. I've been looking at videos from the new features. The spaces feature is gona make seem like you have 4 monitors, it will be amazing. And the time machine feature... that's just crazy. And the core animation looks very powerful.

Haha that looks awesome too. Is it a feature on the current version of linux or will it be on the next one?
But it looks amazing, I might give it a try on my pc. But doesn't linux limit the programs you can use drastically? What could you use on a linux O.S. for design/coding/ftp type stuff.?

What could you use on a linux O.S. for design/coding/ftp type stuff.? | It's a third-party thing, but most Linux distribution sites have guides on how to make it run. I tried getting it to run on my PC but you need to have an nvidia graphics card for the best results...my ati x800 pro couldn't run it
Even though you can't get a lot of store-bought programs running on Linux, the amount of free programs that do the same job is amazing. For design, you can use the GIMP (although it's quite less-advanced than Photoshop), Aptana for coding, and most FTP clients have a Linux version. If you can't live without a Windows app you can try running it with WINE (which is like a basic Windows emulator) or pay $40 for Crossover Office (which will let you run everything).
Even though at certain points it's much harder to do things like installing stuff, I just find that it gives me a better feeling of accomplishment once I get something running. |

Yeah I might install linux on one of my empty partitions and have the dual operating systems.
Where could I download the linux system from? I found the XGl desktop on the novell website, saw some more movies about it as well.

There are lots of different kinds of Linux, I personally use Ubuntu. You can take a test here though, to see which one is for you.
