The mac will recognise FAT32 partitioning. That way, files are easily transferred between both systems (I have a 20GB mobile drive for backup).
If I'm not mistaken, the drive will have to be partitioned as FAT32 does not support partitions larger than 30 of 32GB. (can't remember exactly).
You should have USB on both puters. Prefereably USB2 highspeed that goes at 480 Mbit (not bytes! [innocent] ) per second, but it also works with 1.1 which is limited to 12Mbit/sec.
You may plug it in with the puter on once it is installed.
But Win 98SE will need drivers installed first.

macs use a fork, but pc needs extensions. So if ever you work on the mac and want to otransfer to pc, don't forget to add the extension. And if we're talking images, then save them in LAB mode and tiff or psd.
