Every game I saw mexico play I was not impressed at all by style of play. I hope they offer a more dynamic option this time around.
Eddie Johnson played horribly against a poor Danish side, that coupled with his MLS season could see him benched. Kenny Cooper did look halfway decent though, i.e. at least he knew he was on the field playing a game.

McBride is retired from international play. The national team is in a transition phase (not just coaching wise).

Haven't been following the MLS or the US NT really at all these past two years or so. I watch the occasional revs game to see dempsey though. Didin't know Brian retired... sucks for the US side then.

Aha I found the roster for the game:

Quote:
ROSTER BY POSITION
Goalkeepers (2) – Joe Cannon (Los Angeles Galaxy), Tim Howard (Everton FC)
Defenders (7) – Chris Albright (Los Angeles Galaxy), Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham FC), Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Bobby Boswell (D.C. United), Jimmy Conrad (Kansas City Wizards), Bryan Namoff (D.C. United), Eddie Robinson (Houston Dynamo)
Midfielders (7) –Brian Carroll (D.C. United), Ricardo Clark (Houston Dynamo), Bobby Convey (Reading FC), Clint Dempsey (Fulham FC), Joshua Gros (D.C. United), Justin Mapp (Chicago Fire), Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado Rapids)
Forwards (4) – Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy), Eddie Johnson (Kansas Cit y Wizards), Chris Rolfe (Chicago Fire), Taylor Twellman
(New England Revolution)

Oguchi Onyewu decided to stay at Newcastle. Probably the best thing for him to do.
