For a football team i play for, it was just for fun really. Its quite simple, which is probably the reason it didnt really take that long but, i like it. And i know i spelt recent wrong but i cant be botherd to change it
It's nice man,i like it,looks classy.You could fix some things up though.Work on the banner,like that it looks empty and kinda depressing tbh.I think that the font could be better,as most people use a pixel font,will suit better.On the sides i think you should add some stuff like advertisments.Besides that it's a decent template it has potential if you work on it some more.

Personally i think the header for each post should be larger than the actual post text. Not keen on the font either, is it Times New Roman? Arial or Verdana are prefered with me.
Also it's "recent" not "resent" (as in scores - on the right) sorry just read you have already said this. Site last updated should also have a capital for Tuesday and January and maybe the teams should have Capital letters -- but this paragraph is me being picky.
I reckon the site does look more like a gamers site or a blog rather than a football teams website (though it could be the teams blog?).....lighter colours would be prefered from me, but if these are the teams colours then fair enough.

well are home kit is yellow and blue, and the away is white. Im pretty sure the font was arial (i'll check when i fix it up a bit) They site update bit, i put it all in small case purposely.
I didnt have any images at the time, but now ive got some i think i will insert them into the template somewhere. im also going to change the colours and probably improve the banner.
