Thanks Mr Sugar
Unfashionable though it may be, I thought it would be inappropriate to let Alan Sugar's passing go un-noticed. Yes I know that he appointed Christian Gross and George Graham, but his undoubted business acumen helped to ensure that the club did not go down the pan. It was a shame he and Venables could not get on, but when it comes down to business there was only going to be one winner. Yes he was wrong to let Klinsmann go, but he was man enough to bring him back. Ultimately he could not connect with the fans, but he at least established a working relationship with a man that could - David Levy. Now he has completed the final part of a very smooth transition. Sure he has made a few bob in the process but we should thank him none the less. Alan Sugar, our Ken Bates, thankyou, good luck and goodbye!
