Looks good until now. I'll will have a second look at your PSD file later this day.
Some advice: you should really use layer sets Realneed4speed, name them and also name each single layer. It will be easier for you to control the different elements once you have them in these groups or sets. Trust me, Photoshop will be much more fun once you have your layers organized.
Your layers palette is kinda messy now if you don't mind me saying so.
im really sorry!!! .. i forgot to clean it up for u guys .. and please do look .. and give me feedback.. I will start to organize from now on.. u are right. i waste alot of searching for stuff [sleepy]
perhaps unify the template with a 1 or 2 pt outline.
Not sure you realy need the bevelled look on the sides and bottom. They are more suited to tech interfaces etc where its a complete thing. I think keeping it simple is the best way to go with that design you have got.
I like the header and what I assume to be the nav bar at top.
Ok well... my first thought then would be to use a specific theme that suits the subject matter of the site.
"Motor Sports"
Have a look at some vehicles in motor sports... pinch a few ideas from them on colour shemes, pinstiping, fonts, etc...
And use photos/images that are from motor sports to unify your theme. Use them a 'window dressing' for the page design.
Remember to optimize the images though. Especially photos.
