I think he'll impress in the MLS. It will be exciting to see. And I highly doubt he would have gone to Saudi Arabia for that money. He did say he would consider a move to Asia.. but they don't have the kind of money to bring him there.
MLS is "tutto fumo e niente arrosto" (Italian proverb) the same attention was put to ADU (the new pelè ! WTF AGAIN ?!!? ) he's a good player especially for his age but it's not so incredible... MLS just need to put great youngs in the football (i hate "soccer") world. It needs to improve its own players park and then go to buy false champions like beckham, at the end imo it has to follow the Switzerland example of the latest years....
We're more concerned in getting our players abroad, well, the players themselves are at least. Players of a good pedigree like to play at the highest level (unless you're Landon Donovan, not like he has a decent pedigree anyway).

The MLS is too rough to be semi-retirement. You go to Saudi Arabia to retire, the US to have your legs broken.
And Donovan is not that great of a player. Never liked him so much. But he chose a bad league for him to go to, had he gone to the EPL he would have done better.
Well I just found out that Edgar Davids is going to FC Dallas. So there is another player going over the pond to the MLS. I'm liking this. I am going to mail the Kansas City Wizards and tell them to buy Nico so I can see him play live for the next 5 years or so. Plus I am sure I can get him a 20 million dollar contract.
