David Beckham is a player that I have always admired. If he had stayed at manchester united you would be calling him a champion and not just a free kick specialist. He went to a team that was in high form and he didn't ever really fit in to the Spanish system and style. At the world cup he was by far England's best player in my opinion. Beckham is very strong at what he can do and he always impresses me with his work ethic. I want to see him because he's just an efficient player and he does a lot more than score free kicks. Watch him more carefully, you might realise it too.

Yeah but Beckham was more influential than Cristiano is. Sure cristiano is more talented in terms of skill, and I love watching him.. but becks made more of an impact. Both were and are amazing though. I don't think he is a living legend.. and that's what hapened with him after he went to Madrid. He became a brand and stoped being a player. But in the MLS he will be able to dominate, enjoy and play better. So you will see a better game from Becks once he comes to the US.

Like I said.. he is basically a brand now. There are many factors that make his move make sense. The MLS sucks yeah... but that doesn't mean it has to remain like that forever. The Romanian league has been improving so much over the past 4 years or so. We are now in the top 10 leagues in the world according to FIFA. So why not allow the MLS to try and get more attention towards the sport and towards their league? But you're not thinking about the big picture here... just the first thing that comes to mind.

The only reason why he signed there, is because of the money he gets,
and living in L.A. is better than Madrid I suppose.
They already have friends there, like tom Cruise and co....
it's sad. nowadays everything is about money.
first figo, now beckham. the next one I suppose is Ronaldo.

Well money is important in the world we live in. But it's not just about the money like I said. I can't believe that Becks was happy at Madrid. There was way too much pressure, he did not fit the style, people expected him to be able to play like someone he wasn't. Figo was more about the money going where he went. USA is a lot better of a place to go than Saudi Arabia. Beckham is coming to the US for multiple positives and not just money which is what a move to Saudi Arabia would be for. Ronaldo is done as well, and Red Bull New York really want him and Madrid don't. So we'll see how it plays out.

You're right.
Beckham was great at ManUtd, he could have been a legend, too bad that he transfered to Real Madrid, which damaged everything he could have gotten.
Becks was solely transferred to RM, because of his status in the world, and they made profit of him with his shirt sales and co.
I'm 100% sure, that he would have transferred to arabia, if they had made that offer to him instead of LA Galaxy...
I agree, it's really better to live in the US, than in SA, and Beckham could have been born in L.A., he will feel himself home.
The reason why RM failed is, because they signed him not for skills, but as said for money reasons. Now beckham is 'used up', too bad they won't get anything out from this deal lol
