sorry i know this is simple but i can't rmeber how to make frames in imageready i haven't used it in ages i opneed it up the other day and was like "how do i add frames" [saywhat]
thing is when i do that i can't make different things for example i want to rotate something but if i rotate it while frame 1 is selected frame 2 also rotates.
Hi Scorpian. Unfortunately Image ready isn't a traditional animation program and will not do rotation. If you want to do rotation you have make individual frames and place them in order. It's not fun I know but it's what must be done. I use this exclusively for work and I know how frustrating it can be! hope this helps
I can't think of any off the top of my head. Try doing a search on google. I'm sure you'll find something thru there. Also try searching the forum threads here, I know it's probably been discussed more than twice.
Basically duplicate your layer, rotate a little use that for a new frame. Duplicate the layer rotate a little more and use that for the next layer. You need to have at least one layer for each frame for most things. There are actions by default in the program to do simple procedures like that.
You can't tween because when you change the pixels on the layer, it propogates since each frame is based on the pixels in the layer, not the position in the frame stack.
The only way you can tween in IR or FW is by using a "live effect" like layer styles and text warp or by changing between different layers. And it doesn't really understand that you've rotated, it just tries to move between the two layers by using opacity adjustments.
With something like flash or fireworks (maybe) if you built the object in vectors it would understand the properties of rotation and would be able to tween them. So if you have and are familiar with either of those programs, you might be able to use that to tween the objects and then you could export the animation as a gif if you wanted to.
