scorpion: i've tried duplicating the layer and rotating but when i click add new frame they all end up the same
Yes, they will all look the same, following the first frame....until you change each frame thereafter, one at a time!

Click on the frame that you want to change (rotate it some more)... then click on the next frame (rotate it some more)...and so forth...

This really reinforces the idea that you should pre-plan all your animations in Photoshop as much as possible. That's why they add that nifty "jump to" button in your tool bar (it's the bottom icon for those that don't know)

you have two layers on the layers pallet (these are your changes)

you have at the moment one on the animation table, by clicking new you are faced with the same as the first until........................

you unclick an eye on the top layer of the layers pallet now try that and see if it works [righton]

so the first frame has the top image from the layers pallet showing and the second frame has the bottom image from the layers pallet showing - I hope I have made it clear for you ;\

Technical point 1) If theose are the images you`re animating, it won`t show motion. (at least from what I can see in the screen cap, they`re the same image).

Technical point 2) If you`re rotating the image so the reflections(highlights) move, it won`t look realistic, because..well, reflections don`t do that.

if you want to add motion to a *CD-like-object* it needs something on it to move.; i.e.; text, dirt, a stripe, something.

Does that make sense ?
