Default Using 2 monitors

Hi,
At the moment I'm using 2 monitors for PS. At monitor 1 I have the work and monitor 2 has the tools. I like that, but some strange things happens.
If I put the toolbar (the vertical one) on monitor 2 and if I like to fill up the colors on my work with the paintbucket, the toolbar turn out to be gray. (foreground AND background)
It is not possible to change the colors, so I have to drag the toolbar back to monitor 1, change the colors and than it works.
When I drag the toolbar back to monitor 2 it still has 2 colors (fore- and background) untill I use the paintbucket again.
Is this a normal situation for PS? Are there more weird things by using 2 monitors?
Bye

This probably isn't helpful but I use two monitors with a Mac running both OS X and OS 9 and have never had such a problem. What operating system are you using?

Now I use Windows XP but I don't think that is the problem.....(however.... [shhh] ).
In the former days I used W'95 and W'98 and had no problems at all.

I'm out of my depth with Windows, since I'm on a Mac, but Windows folks chime in here. Is there such a thing as a Monitor Control Panel Preferences file in Windows? A sudden change in behavior tells me that may be the problem...it would be my first step on the Mac to delete the prefs file, then restart.

AppleC, yes there is a monitor controle but it turned out grey so I couldn't use it but my little problem is solved...
Yesterday I downloaded other drivers, and now NOT the latest ones, for my 2 monitors AND for my Graphic-card. I thought the new ones maybe might not work together.
Now, with all the new drivers it works!!!
I'm happy again... but it 's still a weird thing!!
