FIND OUT THE FIXTURES FIRST

After another thrilling season saw Manchester United crowned champions for the ninth time, fans from across the globe will be eager to see what the opening challenges are for the 20 Barclays Premier League clubs when the new season gets underway on Saturday, August 11.

At 10am on Thursday, premierleague.com will reveal all the mouth-watering match-ups so you can start planning trips to Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Anfield, or look forward to Arsenal or Newcastle United coming to town.

Last year, the opening round of fixtures threw up some classic encounters as newly-promoted Reading came back from 2-0 down to defeat Middlesbrough 3-2.

And Sir Alex Ferguson's United side set down an early marker for the season with a 5-1 thrashing of Fulham at Old Trafford, scoring four times in the opening 19 minutes.

Discover whether Sunderland's Stadium of Light will be hosting Barclays Premier League football once again on August 11, or if the Black Cats fans may be travelling to one of England's most famous grounds.

Birmingham City and Derby County are also back in the top flight and looking to make their mark, while Champions League finalists Liverpool go in search of their first Premier League crown.

It is certain to be another exciting and intriguing season so make sure you log on to premierleague.com at 10am to find out exactly how your team's campaign will shape up.
FIND OUT THE FIXTURES FIRST

So we'll know after a week who are our opponents. The question is, who do you want as the first 4-5 teams to play against you?

The fierce rivals? Play them, get them over with and go on a nice run till December? Not to mention the injuries/suspensions in-between can be taken care of as the opponents left later would be not be the big teams?

The easy oppositions? Get on the season with nice wins and a boost of confidence? Try out different combinations of formations and the new players?

What would you like to have?

I would have the easy ones, take the top spot hopefully in the first weeks, and then build from there.

I don't care, we'll step all over our opponents next season anyway

But seriously,....

Considering we could have a rusty start/first game after the summer break, I would prefer to play a (standard) mid-table team first so we have a better chance of winning our first game and get our confidence up from the start.

After that, I really don't care

Easy fixtures first to get formations and the like to get sorted out, almost gives a good confidence boost.
