Default How do I... ?

I have a colour picture that I want to convert entirely to various shades of the same blue, as is I was looking through a blue pane of glass, or like looking at a map with a blue light.

Any ideas?

Default How do I... ?

Hi there and welcome

Ok this is one way of doing that.

First copy your background image.Drag your background images layer down onto the little icon which looks like a little page, its at the bottom of your layer palette. Now click back on your copy and click on the little icon at the top of your layer palette as shown in the image.Next go to the top of your screen and the IMAGE > ADJUST MENU > select HUE AND SAT,and click ok.With the hue and sat window open browse to your right and click the COLORIZE box,now move the HUE slider and you can make your image any hue you like, blue green etc

duotones work too...

you have to change the mode to grayscale and then to duotone and choose the colors.

or simply add a fill or adjustment layer with hue/saturation and there select colorize and play with the sliders.

same soulution as kiwi but this way its easier to change it later on =) just db click the fill layer and you can edit it any time you like.

Rock on
