There are a number of things that can cause the fonts to appear jagged seemly out of the blue.

1) Check the anti-alias box in the font options and if "none" is selected change it to any of the other settings provided.

2) Go to Image - Mode - RGB, make sure RGB is selected and not Indexed Color.

These are the first two areas to check as they are usually the problem for jagged text. If these steps do not clear up the problem just place another post and someone will be along to suggest additional steps to take.

Another possibility is that you were not viewing the graphic at 100%. A little less or a little greater zoom percentage is enough to create a lot of jaggies and a huge headache.

When you figure out a problem yourself, post the solution you find.
Other people will certainly come across the same type of thing, so a resolved problem con help others indirectly.

Well.. ok.. sorry about that guys.. [honesty] actually on the top toolbar.. when Text selection is active the Aa button was on None.. and Font came out reallly wicked... So, i just moved the button to Smooth.. which gave a better font.. But, id say the best type of Fonts r Strong..
