Default Liverpool: interest in Trezeguet confirmed

Liverpool market consultant Mauro Pederzoli told Teleradiostereo that the Reds are interested in David Trezeguet. ?¢‚Ǩ?ìWe are looking for a strong striker and Trezeguet is one of them, but we are not considering a swap deal with Xabi Alonso, who Benitez sees as a key player of this team.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù It is instead possible that Zenden, who has been linked to Roma, might come to Italy. ?¢‚Ǩ?ìAfter the Champions League final, Benitez gave him permission to speak to other clubs, even though we are more than willing to extend his contract.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù

Liverpool are also interested in Roma?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s Mancini: ?¢‚Ǩ?ìWe kept a close eye on him last eyar, but now things have changed, in part because of Pennant improving so much as a player.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù

It also seems difficult that Sissoko will leave to join Juventus. ?¢‚Ǩ?ìBuying players from Premiership teams is always difficult because the English league is, right now, stronger than Serie A from a financial perspective. For example, Sissoko would end up costing very much, and it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s up to Juve to decide how much they are willing to spend. Also, with our new owners, the goal of this club is to become stronger and not sell players.?¢‚Ǩ¬ù

A swap deal plus a bit of cash for Trezeguet would be quality. Sissoko plus £4m for Trezeguet sounds nice to me.

Would be a nice realistic target for the pool... I feel eto'o will want to stay at barca as he has so clearly stated numerous times - i don't see why most of your fans continue to link him to your club?! Torres will most probably stay in spain also... so not many other top notch candidates!

Now we have the little chief sissoko can go I guess. Masch has better distribution. If Alonso goes too I'd be gutted but Stevie and Masch in the middle is the best option in my view. Alonso won't sit on the bench and to play them together doesn't work. Pennant finished the season well so we can't keep shoving Stevie over to the right - especially if we do get Alves. Voronin coming. Anyhow Trezeguet Schmezzeguet. Henry is on his way.
