I programmed it a while back. Only works for Photoshop 7.

Backup: Click on preference file/backup
Restore: Click on preference file/restore

Might be handy if you have to reset your preference file again

It's just easier to use the program instead of trying to remember where you can find the preference file, that's all

Btw, here is where you can find the preference file in Windows XP

Here is a tip for preventing the PS preference file from becoming corrupted in the first place.

Right click the PS preferences file, go to properties and set it to READ ONLY after you have your preferences set.

The only catch is that if you later want to update your preferences you will have to undo the Read Only property first.

This will keep the preferences files from getting over-written which causes the corruption at times.
