How do I restore preferences to default in PS 7 ? Am using an old tutorial for previous version which says to do this. Is it still necessary in 7?

As photoshop boots up, hit ctrl+shift+alt, or go to your application data folder and delete prefs.psp. Photoshop will automatically generate a new file. This will not delete your actions, styles, etc etc....hope this helps...
