If you do not like the design/graphics then design yourself a div overlay. You can find codes for literally everything on your page, so what is so baaaaad about it?
It has the largest amount of members and not everyone (including myself) can be bothered to keep on signing up to more and more websites just to stay 'in' with whatevers new.
I love myspace I think it is great, the only thing they need to work on is the spam as it's getting a little ridiculous with amount of spam comments and messages. |
You can put whatever layout you want on it because it is going to be just as limited. it was good when it came out, but right now compared to changes in the technology used, they are just bad. Rupert Murdoch is not investing the proper amount of money in the site. Like they added Myspace News and I bet you only 5% of the members knows how to get to them. Their new features have horrible integration and unless they shape up they will lose their members.
Facebook won't appeal to everyone because it is network based and mostly for Americans. Facebook won't replace myspace, but i've seen everyone at my school switch over to facebook in the past year after they were all crazy about myspace. I guess other features are a bit more important than being able to put on your choice of layout.
I said.. people are there only because other people are there and this happens because it is big and that's where everyone begins social blogging and such these days. And people who can't be bothered to sign up somewhere else because they have a big friend list on myspace are going to keep myspace going. But no one stays because of quality anymore... they stay because they don't know better, too lazy to sign up anywhere else, they are too scared of losing their "friends."
You should give virb a go. It is like a very intelligent and more flexible and more modern version of myspace. It will be the same kind of environment without as much spam and with easier ways to interact. But you can do whatever you want. Keep feeding the Murdoch.
