Well, I have come to dislike magazines. I bought some ComputerArts Specials and some Digits etc, but they're expensive when compared to what they offer. Most tuts go like " open fileX, then open fileY, both are on the accompanying CD,..."
I don't buy any more mags. Instead I buy a book from time to time.
I kinda like Friends of Ed. Photoshop face to face is interesting, so is Professional Photographic techniques, and New Masters of Photoshop (a bit more contemporary design). A timeless book
imo is JohnPaul Caponigro's masterclass, edited by Adobe themselves. Apart from that, and free, is browsing the Net. Just take a look at the Links forum and click on every posting by Gaussian. A wealth of information and thousands of sites will open for you.
Yet the best way to learn is to play. Which, I can understand, must be difficult when you use the tool daily for professional purposes...
