The background is done by a lot of patience. But apart that, it's all down to making selections and fil the rectangles with white, then with black to add depth, adding some colours to make it lively, and things like that. That's all really. Experimenting is the key. Maybe I'll write a tutorial about this.

Too much blur on the face, but otherwise it's okay. Also the colours on the bg could be more dramatic.

the bg looks nice, i like it, the text could be better, i dont like that text behind Ronnie and i also dont like the render, i think you can make it look better and also those sparkles dont look good

The background is something else, that is awesome.
Great use of colour in the background.
Great effect on the render too.
