I have mixed feelings about the guy, but ultimately he's not top drawer is what I'm forced to conclude.

I like his attitude; and respect his commitment. But I want us to have a strike force we can rely on to deliver.

Ole, Sheringham, Yorke, Cole. Back then, the manager could have picked any two from those four and I wouldn't have minded. Now, with Louis out, we can look a bit toothless at the centre of our attack.

To be cold and dispassionate about it, I like Smithy. But we need better options.

You don’t think Smithy can cope? I know he has been injured and played at center midfield a few times but when he has got a chance up front, he hasn’t really disappointed and has a good record. At Leeds he was amazing and I think for the premier league he might be ideal, foreign players can be of the pace if not used to the premier league. Who knows!?!?
