Nikkie try this link, here at psg .... http://www.photoshopgurus.info/forum...pic.php?t=2973 .... I know that it is where I would start when I eventually get around to tackling the 'dreaded' pen tool

You're welcome Nikkie [righton]

And trust me, if you know how to use the tool then you're ahead of a lot of people who use Photoshop; for some reasons the pen tool is not high on their priority list [stuned]

But trust me, everybody needs to learn to work with vectors one day, even if you don't use Photoshop, so it's a good choice of you to give it all the attention it needs [righton]

I even know a 3D artist who designs large parts of his images with Illustrator's vector tools

Nikkie ... sharks ... I liked that [bustagut]
Gaussian ... I don't think fluffy, ginger and polly will be pleased about that ... but I will tell them that 'Uncle Gauss' said it had to be

[stuned] Such high priorities you have Ian! [bustagut] [bustagut] [bustagut]

Nikkie, trust me... once you get the hang of the pen tool you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Good Luck and stick with it! [righton]
