Maybe I'm just stupid, but...

Everything seems to work ok as far as i can tell, until i get to the last step after you delete the old starburst layer. I create a new layer for the color of choice and fill it, but it fills the entire image with that color. Do i need to swap around layer order, am I missing a step or is there a different way of filling i don't understand/know about?

well if you posted a link to what tut you where talking about the it will be mutch easier for us to help you =)

wild gues did you forget to make a selection ore some thing of the layer you deleted ?? maby but with out the tut i have no clue =)

[saywhat] Nobody is 'stupid' around here and be assured, there's no such thing as a stupid question! We're all either in the process of learning something new or imparting that what we know!

Just read the tute carefully! After you've added your layer of "color" Mark says to change it's Blend Mode (the layer blend mode) to one of these: Overlay/Softlight/Color Burn/Color.

Refer to this image to find out how to change the layer blend mode.

Carry on then...

.. welcome Freefour .. I hadn't done that tute so I gave it a go and it worked ok .. it's the last step that you are missing (when you make new layer and fill it with colour and then change thaat layer to 'overlay' (etc) - pic below probably explains better ... well done on posting your working image it helps heaps in 'seeing' the problem ...
