Default Making Waves - Theo Walcott

Trying a new style.

Saw the goals Walcott scored for the U-21s - my brother was watching it and i seriously thought they were some old clips of Henry! Wenger's got himself some real talent.

He's 'making waves' (making an impact). Well thats the theme of it.

This is still a work in progress. So Comments/Feedback appreciated.

Nice concept, and you've executed it well.
Only fault is the render...looking a bit lifeless at the moment...maybe blur it up a tad.

The idea is ok but the rendre needs better blending in my opinion, the typography is ok, maybe some more work on the city behined as well is needed. That's all really.

i would change the mode of the building and also his number, always changing, he has held 17 down for a couple of matches i think, thats why i stick to using his arsenal number, 32.

The blending is superb as it is.

Text doesn't look finished (as it probably isn't anyway) and the waves in the background could have a tad more "oomph" to them. Keep working on it and adding depth to the background and it'll be real quality.

Nice idea and execution. Keep going with it.

Ok, I've tried to add some oomph to the wall, and brought out the waves a little better. I like the text as it is though, dont want to take the attention away from the rest of the wall.

Here's a link to v2 - CLICK HERE

A big thank you for the feedback, especially Jasiano. Thanks.

It's really nice,it's really great to see someone trying something new,i really like your idea.As well i have some suggestions so you could turn that wall into one great piece.
First is the colours,i don't think purple/pink is the best scheme for the wall."Making waves" shows the power and fury of nature,so you could use dark blue colours with lighter blue colours on places, because purple is a really calming-down colour.
Next,i think you should add some water drops or wave splashes on Teo's legs, because now it looks as if he is just walking on the waves, not making them, this is a little detail you should work out.
I like the whole concept and the positioning of the city and the wave itself.May be you should sharpen a bit the wave picture/or not, this is just a suggestion.
I really like the text,it fits the wall, but i think you should put some work in it.As the whole wall is simple and plain (in a good way),i think you should add more details, not just some low opacity text and some other low opacity text, add gradients make the text tad bigger, add more details in the letters itself. In v2 i think the small text isn't needed because it's a bit edgy,or just change the font.

These are just suggestions,i hope i helped, and i can just say keep it up,produce some more interesting walls
