Default Hello, a newbie with a few q's :D

First of all, hello all! This is a great site you've got here!

Okay, I've got two questions;

1. In Mark's "Mercator" tute, on style 2, how does he get that posterised effect on the adjustment layer to be so "even"? When I try it does this,

Which makes sense, because a radial gradient disperses from the center point... however Mark seems to have a more oval shaped raidial gradient;

What simple setting am I missing? [stuned]

2. Why does the picture in my sig show up fine in IE, but appear to "flash" instead of turn in Netscape based browsers? What's the difference?

Please help, thanks

Welcome to the community <ightyMax, hope you enjoy your stay. [honesty]

You need to just keep reading the tute MightyMax... you stopped just short of finding out how to 'flatten' those rings.

In Step 6 : "Click on the 'grad sphere' layer to make it the active layer. Apply the "Spherize" filter..." You'll find out.

And your animation is probably moving too fast to be fully rendered by the NS browser. A general rule about animations is to make then only 12 FPS, and make the minimum time lapse be only 0.5 sec./frame. The FPS is a pretty tight rule, but the time lapse speed can be twiddled with a little, + or -.

turns out it was an issue with transparency with the signature pic, it's fixed now (well, I just removed the transparency, so it's not exactly fixed)...

Great results MightyMax! [righton]

And, during the process, you learned a lot, and isn't that what it's all about?
