Default Greeting From A Newbie

Hello Everyone;
I just wanted to introduce myself to this group and to let you all know that I am new to both computers as well as Photoshop.
A friend got me started with Photoshop7 and what I see of it I really like. I was practicing making warp text and I was amazed at how easy it works although I no absolutely nothing else about Photoshop 7. That is why I have joined this group, I want to learn as much as possible about this program. If someone could point me in the right direction on the subject of Photoshop7 for newbies it would be greatly appreciated. Mean while I will be reading the answers to all of these postings hoping that I can learn something.
Thanks for having such a great place for us newbies to learn. [righton]

Welcome Joker.

For starters, you can learn a lot from Mark TheKeeper's tute's in the forum's welcome page. Divided into 3 sections(beginner. intermediate & advanced) , you can take your time learning the ropes of PS at your own pace.

Visit the many areas and threads in the forum for a topic you find of interest to you. Give attention to Gary Boutons' The Inside Track for more tips.

Take part in the projects and challenges. Regardless whether your creations are works of art or disaster, post them. We'll be here to give you advice and tips on how to improve your craft. We won't bite .

Above all, have fun, fun and more fun..... it's boring without it.

Default Greeting From A Newbie

Welcome Joker and thank you for the nice introduction!

You've definitely come to the right place...your reasons for joining this forum were exactly the same as mine! I feel that I have progressed with PS by leaps and bounds as a result of everything that I've picked up around here.

So, you're off to a good start and if you start doing as many tutorials as you can find, in no time at all you'll become comfortable. As Vee said, Mark (aka theKeeper) has some great "beginner tutorials" on his front page. When you're through with those, just do a "google search" and you'll find that there are tons more out there!
