Thanks for the response. The pic I posted was converted "from" colour into Black & White. I posted it as an example of what you can do using the channel mixer. What I'm actually looking for are channel mixer settings which replicate the various filters used in Black and White film photography.

Yes, that's the idea. The filters in the ad you posted are used with Black and White film to achieve particular effects. I want to know what the PS channel mixer settings are that correspond with the various filters that black & white photogs use. These can then be applied on colour PS files, using the channel mixer in monochrome mode, to get different black & white results.

As I said in my first posts, I can already fool around with the sliders to get this effect ... maybe I'm being a bit OC here but I'd like to know what setings correspond to which standard filters.
