Many have their views but unless they race each other which i doubt they would, we will never ever know. Well how fast can they do 100m in?
11.5 seconds... Theo Walcott at 16
Even though he doesn't play in the EPL Gianluca Zambrotta
Thierry Henry, France – His speed is really deceptive. It doesn’t look like he is even running hard but then he leaves the defenders in the dust. 10.9sec apparently
Kolo Toure... is 3rd fastest at arsenal fc...he must run within 12 sec mark
Gael Clichy... is 4th fastest at arsenal fc....he too must run around the 12 sec mark
Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal – I think the video game makers confused Figo with Ronaldo.
DeMarcus Beasley, United States – He is a blur out wide, which is a good thing since he weighs about 98 pounds and would get killed if he didn’t have speed.
Roberto Carlos, Brazil – He’s lost a step, which still places him five steps ahead of most players.
Djibriel Cisse - may have lost some pace due to breaking his leg twice
Michael Owen... even after injuries still has a lot of pace
Kerion Dyer... well after the Brazil game he is pretty fast
100m in 11 secs... Martins (Newcastle)
Marc Overmars... Known for his great speed and blitzes into enemy territory, Overmars' nicknames included "the Roadrunner" or simply "meep-meep."
Others may include: Aaron Lennon, SWP, Pennent, Scott Sinclair
On a lighter note: Gilberto will miss the start of next season after being selected to captain Brazil at the Copa America this month in Venezuela.
I think the fastest footballer is Dennis Rommedahl i'm sure i read he could do 100m in about 10 seconds. But still doesn't make him a very good footballer, though.
Also W.Gallas is the fastest player at Arsenal, without doubt!
It isn't how fast they are, it is about speed with the ball at feet, these are the players that make a difference.
I remember my dad saying to me he met a couple of united players in the days of a young giggs, kanchelskis and all, the quickest player at united then was Gary Pallister. He would be all the players in the sprints, training and all recorded times.
But in the current day, it is about how qucik they are with the ball at feet and that is why henry comes into his own at times, like ronaldo did this season.
