Default Smith and Richardson for Defoe?

Would Tottenham fans be happy with such a swap? After all, it is widely supposed that Tottenham are on the market for a winger and a striker so perhaps this deal can be somewhat beneficial to both clubs.

I know Richardson is not too flash, but a lot of that is because he is being compared to the best winger in the world all the time. He does have all the basic elements needed of him i.e. blistering pace, a good shot etc.

Plus, Defoe can't be all that happy at Spurs- I reckon he is likely to get more games at United, given Saha's propensity for injury and Ole's age.

Thanks but er no thanks

Smith is ok but no better than what we have and as for Richardson he should be playing for Sunderland or Derby

Smith is over-rated & his temperament's a liability. Richardson's a joke!

Defoe's still one of the best strikers in the premier league, so, not thanks.
