I am trying to type in another language (Japanese) in photoshop. I have the fonts and it works fine in other applications. When I try in photoshop it ends up with only question marks. Thanks
Type for example: GREEK PHOTOSHOP or JAPANESE PHOTOSHOP
Copy/paste works, but don't you think that millions of others in Japan or Greece have the same problems and that there is a simple solution...just some logical thinking
Logically thinking they would probably buy photoshop in their own language. Thanks
I am sure that there is an easy way to do it.. but I can't find it. Some people say they paste from word (or another program) but I can't even do that.
Take those Japanese fonts of yours, and go to CProgram Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts\ on your HD. Then dump your special fonts in that folder.
NOTE: select and drag them temporarily from the system FONTS folder, until after this test. Put them back if it doesn't work.
What this does is load these specific fonts within this special folder into Photoshop, but without the fonts having to be installed through your OS. This is just something else to try... no promises... hope it ends up working though... that would be a nice fluke. :}
Welcome aboard juanjose1967! I don't have any experience with foreign fonts, but your suggestion "makes sense" to me, as this is the same method that I use to cut + paste special characters!
CocaColin, I hope that Mark's dirty little trick/suggestion works for you! [excited] Do let us know!!!
Yes, it worked perfectly thanks! I have noticed while looking for a solution that a lot of people have had the same problem. I'm off to spread the wisdom of Mark.
