Any suggestions for learning this tool? I attempted to use it this weekend and finally gave up. I understand that once you master it you will not want to be without it BUT..........how do you get there? Thanks

Lee all weekend we have been going over the pen tool in Gare's section..... head over there and read the thread http://www.photoshopgurus.info/forum...?p=35218#35218 where Gare has done some drawings to show you how.

I finally got it....... over the weekend....... the penny dropped...... with practice and tortue [bustagut] [bustagut] [bustagut]
it was one tool that I never really bothered with because it can seem hard at first but now........ it doesn't seem so scary after all [bustagut] [bustagut] [bustagut]

Wendy - Thanks for the link. I'll read it this evening and see what I can do.

Sue - Thanks for your link, too. After reading gare's 'vector paths,' 'stroking vector paths' etc. (just to name a few of the terms I did not understand) I came to the conclusion that I need a drink........again. Has anyone seen my IV?

I'll learn this thing if it kills me, though. Even if I never have any need for that tool I just want to master it because.....

[righton] Lee. Im in the same boat as you, want to learn that darn pen tool. What ive been doing is reading all the info and just playing with it. seems to be a lot easier as I go along. Some great tutorials and help here. Thanks all.

Pakmn, Yeah, that'd be a great thread, wouldn't it? I can't speak for you but if I posted MY attempts at the pen tool these last few days it'd look like a map of Los Angles (and all's I was trying to do is draw a curved line).

This was done in illustrator with the pen tool,but same as the pen toolin photoshop. Its a tutorial. I found.
