1. Download some brushes
2. Work on the render (use A.C Milan's render in the tut section)
3. Work on the font, try some pixelated fonts
4. Work on your cutting.
5. Border?
Don't worry though. In June I used to make those kind of low class sigs (no offense) but now I make much better sigs. U just have to get to know the grounds, learn how to install brushes, take the things people tell you into consideration.

I think everything is mentioned here, just keep trying and trying and it will eventually get you somewhere, afterall thats where we all started off.
