Idea/Concept - 'Series-X' is dedicated to greatness. Greatness is a CHOICE - 'it is thrust upon some and is GRABBED by others'. Don't settle for mediocrity - if you've achieved something good, don't be lazy, don't be satisfied with 'good' - work at it, put in more effort and make it great.
Daniel Agger - I chose him because he looks like someone who won't stop until he is the best. He is a 21 year old footballer who has already established himself as one of the best young defenders in the world.
He is not satisfied with good, he wants great - this was emphasised when he scored with a blistering drive from all of 35 yards.
Technical Details
My favourite part of the poster is the typography which took me around 2 hours to do.
The quote is from Shakespeare (Twelfth Night). Took me around half an hour to find a quote i liked. This just seemed perfect.
The typography with the splattering behaves as a true vector, ie it can be scaled without losing quality.
Its a simple poster but one which took me a lot of time to conceptualise and implement. Its around 40 layers. Took me around 6 hours over 3 days.
Really great idea and its good to see people trying new styles and actually putting thought into their walls. The typography is very good and gets your message across, reminds me of those nike football adverts you get in magazines. The film strip idea is good too but i don't really like the sepia tones. I can't really think of many more suggestions to be honest, maybe instead of having the black baground a blended pick of agger or something might work well? Great idea though keep at it!
I tried blending some images in the BG, but the plain black's looking the best. And without the sepia-ish tones the pics in the film reel were looking really flat. Thanks for the feedback though, i appreciate it.
Wow, best wallpaper I've seen in quite a while. Cool unqiue style and it brings the message across very well. Nice to see you sharing your ideas on making this wallpaper with us.
