Default Premiership Season 2006/07

Man United are off to a flyer, Liverpool's slowly starting to emerge as the title contenders many expected them to be, the Gunners are off to an unusually slow start, and Chelsea have already lost twice.

This season has already seen a number of surprise results - a 10 man Everton beating a strong Spurs team at home, Sheffield Utd. holding Liverpool to a draw, Middlesbrough coming back to beat Chelsea, Reading doing the same to Boro, Man City stunning the Gunners, etc. etc. Everything's not going according to plan and thats just going to make this season much more exciting than the previous one!

Who do you think will win the title, the CL qualification spots, the UEFA cup berths and which 3 teams wont avoid the drop?

Discuss.

---- Mid-season Update ----

To Summarize : Man United are still in the lead, Liverpool have dropped off the pace completely , and rumour has it that Jose Mourinho's getting the sack! Oh, and Arsenal scored 9 goals at Anfield, after losing to Sheffield.

It's just crazy to think that a manager can be asked to leave for coming second in the league, beating Barca and topping their group in Europe, and staying in contention for both the FA and the league cup!

My hopes and expectations : Liverpool beat Chelsea, Arsenal and ManU at Anfield and really compete for second position. And expectation : Liverpool come third with Arsenal a close 4th. Man Utd to win the league, Chelsea will come second and win either the Carling or FA Cup. I think all English teams will have a strong run in this season's CL (including Liverpool, who really shouldn't be written off after their European Anfield heroics).

Transfer Window : Not been reading up, but I don't think the big clubs will sign big players in Jan. Ferguson's already said that in public, Jose's not being given the funds to buy the players of his choice, and Rafa has to wait for the takeover to be done and dusted.

man utd will win the treble....>_>

although realisticly i think

Manchester United: Premier league champions, knocked out in a moderate stage of the CL.
Chelsea: FA Cup, will fail to go beyond the group stange in the CL
Liverpool: 3rd in the league and eh...maybe a carling cup or a good position in the champions league.
Arsenal: **** all. although they might do well in the CL.

and as for relegation I think: Reading, Fulham and maybe sheffield united. I want to switch charlton for sheffield, but i think charlton aren't looking that week right now.

Yeah, obviously im hoping for the Jop, and I also believe they can. We have a great quad that even with injuries, looks fit to win a title.

Totally agree with you Jimbob ! Lets keep our fingers crossed, I hope we can mount a serious challenge to Chelsea, ManU and Arsenal.

I fancy Portsmouth for a UEFA Cup spot, huge fan of Harry Houdini!

I can see Charlon and/or Fulham going down TBH, along with Watford.

Think Reading have a good chance of staying up, they can score more than they can conceed IMO
