I've seen people use masking tape and spray paint to spray on designs and stuff, and I plan to do that to my bicycle over the course of the summer. I'm probably going to spray paint the whole thing one color, then masking tape it up, spray paint it a different color, then take off the paint. I need suggestions on simple designs and patterns that I can do with masking tape. Also, is there a special type of paint that I should use so that the masking tape peels off cleanly?
Ya'know. I can't really take this thread seriously.
Because who still rides their bicycle? You should totally put a card in the back spokes so it makes a motorcycle sound.
Rofl, and yeah..you can use masking tape to do all kinds of stuff - if you can think it...you can make it. Flames, circles, tribals...just about anything...but I don't really see it happening on a bike since the frame is so small.
On the topic of bicycles are for kids, I actually bought it because I'm moving out into a university
Maybe I should have clarified; I'm not trying to make the bike look super cool. My university is in Los Angeles, so I'm worried about getting jacked, and the chances of getting jacked go down significantly if you can reduce resale value by making it easily identifiable or altered in some irreversible way. Making it look interesting is my second priority, and is pretty much incidental, since I need something unique, and I have lots of free time so I might as well put something interesting.
I'm probably going to try out some flames, but it just sounds kind of boring. There's admittedly little space to work with though, so I might just have to go with it. At the top of the main bar, though, I've already decided to put the logo of the Star Wars rebel faction on both sides; it just needs to be done.
