I am going to make references to other sports and i am saying football is better than other sports, would like to know why everyone else likes football best!?!

I'll start out with three:

1. The best team wins the league. the tournaments are great (world cup, uefa, champions league, the cups) but i love the fact that over the whole season, the best team ends up with the title. watch the nba, the nfl, mlb, hockey, whatever....most of the time the regular season is worthless. It doesn't matter what you do in the beginning of the year, just matters who gets hot in the end. man utd, inter, lyon, stuttgart, and whoever wins la liga deserves it because over the whole season they consistently played better than the other teams and ended up with the most points.

2. relegation and promotion. the nba was bloody disgrace this year, the end of the season comes around and teams start losing games on purpose because they have nothing more to play for. the season ticket holders throw away good money to watch a bunch of rich boys sleepwalk through the final games. in football, the bottom the table is just as exciting as the top of the table and the season doesn't end early.

3. all football players are athletes and have to stay in good physical condition. make the Ronaldo or Ronaldinho jokes if you like but they are a only couple of kgs over the line when they aren't fit. you don't have to be in shape to play baseball or golf, you only have to have the skill to play the game. my dad, whose over 50, could probably beat half of them in a foot race. don't even get me started on "sports" like bowling and billiards. some football players work harder than others and some have better skills but they are all athletes.

Don't get me wrong, I love sports and I watch other sports and play them, but footie is the best and there are so many more reasons why it is the world's game. However, know I'd like to know why your reasons for loving the game?

Football is the best sport, because Football is an art. Football is the most beautiful of the arts, because it is an art. Art is about spontaneity. Every artist tries to find spontaneity in what they do. An actor tries to achieve the spontaneity of a child when delivering a line. A painter tries to convey spontaneity and freedom of movement. The quest for spontaneity is fundamental in art, and football expresses it best. Of all the arts, it is the most spontaneous. Without spontaneity, you cannot succeed. This quest for spontaneity is beautiful. It's even better if you score, for example. It is the essence of football, which is why i consider it an art form.


Of all the sports I've come across, Football is the only sport that allows you to be as creative as you want, which is why it's the best.
