Welcome mobile target! I hope that you enjoy your stay here and that we're able to help you... but please, an "example" (no, we're not all familar with the 'effect' that you speak of) would help us to help you.

My first thought is that you're describing a "dissolve" effect... in which case, I would experiment with selecting portions of the image, placing them on a separate layer and then using the dissolve layer effect in varying degrees on various selections... [confused] But that's just "off the top of my head" and until you post an example I'm just taking a "stab" at this, as anyone else would...

First link doesn't work and I was only able to play the movie in the other one only once, the second time I tried it wouldn't play.

I never got a change to see what the effect is that you're talking about and how it relates to Photoshop which only deals with static images.

What MT is talking about (I'm assuming) is taking an existing product shot and replacing their logo text with something made up. You actually see this a lot if you look at the t-shirts in sk8r shops or the like.

This mostly, in my experience, involves finding a font that will work with the existing one, removing the existing logo with cloning or package reconstruction, and then simply adding your text to the image.

Check out this site to see a sampling of "product" related fonts to get an idea of what kind of things are available.

http://www.dafont.com

Mostly this just involves patience and careful painting skills to remove the old text.
